Health study

The WOW study is currently exploring the links between women having sex with women and bacterial vaginosis. If you'd be willing to participate in the study contact them at wowhealth@mshc.org.au. Or check out their website at www.wowhealth.org.au.

Tennis

Hope to see you at tennis this Sunday, 18 April! We've got 4 courts at Albert Park Reserve, corner of St Kilda Rd and Hannah St, from 11:30-1. Instruction will be provided so don't worry if you haven't played before or haven't picked up your racquet in years. Do try to bring a racquet but there will be plenty to share if you can't.

Lunch to follow - probaby at Hot Honey, Armstrong St, Middle Park.

Swimming, cont'd

The Glamourhead Sharks have organised a special free “Welcome to Women” swim night on Thursday 29th April at 6.20 – 8.00 pm at Wesley Pool Punt Road just down from High St Prahran. Women of any ability will be welcome to come and have a go. There will be coaching available and those who feel more confident can join in with the other swimmers.

Followed by a club dinner, to which all the women are invited, at the Prahan Hotel – Great Parmas and other food for $15.00! You’ll need to bring swimming goggles.

Don’t worry if you’re not fit we’ll play games and do some fun things as well as some stroke correction etc. If anyone wants to know more about our club check out our website at www.glamourheads.org.

MQFF event

Rugby

If anybody is interested in trying Rugby, the Melbourne Chargers (gay rugby club) is starting a women's team, 13 March, 2 pm, Footscray Rugby Union. Contact glen@melbournechargers.org for more information.

Swimming

Next event: a day of swimming with the Glamourhead Sharks, 11:30-1:00 in Middle Park, on the beach in front of the Sandbar Beach Cafe, 175B Beaconsfield Parade. Come prepared to play around in the water or on the beach and then head over to Hot Honey for brunch.

Mother's Day Classic

Anybody interested in walking in the Mother's Day Classic to raise money for breast cancer? We have set up a Sporty Dykes team.

Register for the 4km walk, starting time at 10:15. When it asks about joining a team look in the Established teams section for Sporty Dykes and register with us. There is also a Sporty Dykes fundraising page.
